WADE 2026 has ended
Tuesday June 9, 2026 1:30pm - 2:20pm PDT
The Washington Soil Health Initiative (WaSHI) has funded a network of Long-Term Agroecological Research and Extension (LTARE) sites. The Puyallup location is the only certified organic LTARE site in the WaSHI network and was established in 2022. The 2-acre field experiment represents the nearly year-round, annual diversified vegetable rotations that are common in Western Washington. The primary factors in the study are level of disturbance (i.e. tillage) and compost amendment. This talk will highlight production practices that reduce soil disturbance as well as soil health parameters being monitored in the study.
